Change of ownership amendment requirements by state

Updated over 2 months ago

When making changes to the ownership of your LLC, you may be required to file an amendment with your Secretary of State. You can determine whether this is required for your LLC by checking the table below. Please note that you’ll need to check the state that your LLC is established in, if different from your state of residence.

PRIME can help with that!

If you set up your LLC with PRIME and you’ve determined that filing an amendment is a requirement for you, we're happy to take care of it!

If your LLC was setup through another service or on your own, we won't have the information we need to assist you with this process. However, you can contact your Secretary of State with an inquiry on how to file an amendment.
